Half-Life 2 gets a new update like out of nothing

While you are waiting for the Half Life 2 Remaster Collection produced by a Hobby Developer Team, Valve seems to want to use the original to play the original. How else can it be explained that the 17-year-old ego shooter has received without obvious reason and how to get an update?

Strange at the action, however, is that you have not even announced stated update on the official channels or the steam side of the game. Under the radar, the secret update is still not remained and we owe the Valve-focused Youtuber Tyler McVicker.

This offers the secret half-life 2 update

In a nearly 4-minute video, he deals with the various advantages implemented by the update and reveals why Valve has accepted the cult classic once a long time again. Accordingly, the night and fog action has to do with the soon appearing Steam Deck and its verification or compatibility program.

To prepare Steam s old and full library on the handheld computer, Valve should probably provide a series of titles with appropriate updates. Since the implementation runs without great sensation or announcement, unfortunately there are no accurate patch notes that collect all changes.

McVicker also emphasizes that this is a beta version of the update that suffers from micro-stuttering. He noticed, especially some bug fixes, the extended field of view to 110 degrees as well as the support of ultraWide resolution. The open graphic interface volcano should now be used by Half-Life 2 (now € 44.95).
