After several teasing about new roles that will reach the game, The InnerSloth developers revealed the first new role that will be included in the next update: The Shapeshifter. This role is reserved for those who play as the imposter and allow players to change their appearance to divert their teammates. There are still more roles revealing, but Innersloth has already confirmed that these additional roles will be available only for crewmates.
The new role can be seen in action below in the video provided by Innersloth. It shows a player who is playing as a change and can transform the appearance of him after a brief delay. Additional information shared in the Entre, the site provided more details on how this capacity works.

This impostor can open a menu of all the other live crewmates in the game and select one to copy the appearance of it (name, color and cosmetics), the developers explained. However, the change in a form only lasts a limited time, unless it is modified in the lobby configuration. Crewing companions can see you in the middle of change so if they are within the line of vision, and the change will leave tests. During the meetings, the changers appear as their original self.

Adjustable Game Options
Probability: In the game lobby configuration, you will be able to change the number and probability that an impostor has the ability to change shape. You can completely deactivate the possibility of having the shape change role. For example, 2 change, with a 30% chance of a role of change appear
Duration of change in shape: how long a displaced impostor remains after changing.
Leave evidence of change in shape: If there is no physical evidence that a change in a form has been left in a room after the impostor is transformed.
