Razer presents the successor of his popular mouse for games. Above all, the new Basilisk should be able to convince with improved characteristics.
Razer has presented the official successor of Basilisk V2, the V3. With its 11 programmable buttons, the Basilisk V3 is mainly aimed at users looking for a off-road mouse and, therefore, those who have not committed to a game.
Whether you want to settle on Battle Royale, quick moba and, from time to time, comfortably establish yourself on an island, everything should be possible with these mice.
The Basilisk V3 is the successor of the popular and successful Basilisk V2 wiring. With the Basilisk Ultimate, Razer already has a high-end wireless mouse on the market. The strongest competition is the successful G502 (Hero) of Logitech, which is considered the mouse for games best sold by the Off.
The Basilisk V3 offers newer sensors, improved mouse switches and a new mouse wheel
What has Redesigned Razer? Razer has redesigned the interior in particular. On the one hand, the Razer Focus +, the last Razer sensor is used here. The manufacturer himself describes it as the most advanced and most accurate sensor in the world he can currently find.
Razer also relies on its second-generation optical mouse switches. The switches are under the buttons and are responsible for registering the clicks.
Another special feature is the mouse wheel. Even before, I could switch between tactile behavior and free execution. Thanks to the automatic intelligent reel function, it changes automatically between the touch and free displacement behavior, depending on the speed with which the mouse wheel operates. This is based largely on the Logitech competition, which already offers a similar mouse wheel free.
In addition, V3 now offers 11 separately addressable RGB zones. However, the disadvantage is that you can no longer remove the sniper button. At the Basilisk V2, the sniper button was still removable and interchangeable.
Razer has not changed the basic design or ergonomics.
Different views of the Razer Basilisk V3
When will the mouse be available? Mouse is now available in several suppliers and directly from Razer for 79.99 euros. This means that V3 is 10 euros cheaper than V2 when it was launched.
However, the predecessor remains competition by the successor, because the Basilisk V2 is currently available for around 55 euros and, therefore, it is 20 euros cheaper.

Initial tests praise the improvement of the basilisk v3
The first magazines could try the mouse. Razer's new mouse has been well received in the first revisions.
For example, the Gamers.at tester writes that Razer has reworked his mouse with SENSATEZ (through Gamers.at). The good previous ergonomics remains intact, but you get an improved sensor and a solid labor. The mouse remains a superior rodent for players, at least if you are right, because it is not yet available for lefties.
The Gameswelt tester (through gameswelt.ch) made an equally positive statement. The evaluator praises ergonomics and explains that the mouse can be used in games and in the office without any problem. The new scrolling mechanism is a good trick, but if you really need this function it is another issue.
Logitech G502 Hero is still the strongest competitor
** What type of competition are there? Both mice offer the same number of buttons, a high-end sensor and are aimed at all types of mangoes among players.
In addition to G502 Hero, SteelSeries's rival 5 is an interesting alternative. This is mainly due to low weight of less than 90 grams, where Basilisk and G502 Hero weigh more than 100 grams.
