DataMiner discovers preliminary support for the upcoming new hardware model in the latest console update.
The firmware update 10.0.0 was recently switched live for the Nintendo Switch Live, and although normally - like the firmware updates from Nintendo - was not exactly convincing, there may be some interesting opportunities. Over on Twitter DataMiner @Hexkyz has found indications of preliminary support for a new Switch hardware model with the tag "NX-ABCD", which are dedicated to three of the five new DRAM profiles.
Heskin also says that there is evidence of the exclusive support of a secondary screen of this new hardware model - which could indicate a similar approach, such as the 3DS or perhaps the eve of the Wii U, although it is possible that it is merely a connection with smartphones.
This is followed by months - if not years - speculation that Nintendo plans to bring a more powerful switch model at a higher price on the market. Last year, Nintendo was reported that Nintendo had two new switch models in the pipeline - a cheaper and a more expensive - but after the announcement of the Switch Lite, the company had no immediate plans to bring out another variant. However, further reports at the beginning of this year suggested that a switch pro or mid-2020 should be published.
